I had a botched procedure from another orthopedic doctor, that made my hips a lot worse. I was told about Andrews by someone I met. I got a referral from my primary doctor. Dr. Ryan’s staff was very helpful in scheduling around when my wife could come too. At the appointment, Dr. Ryan and his staff were very honest and up front but thoughtful telling me my options and what he believed he could do. Eventually he’s replaced both hips. Waking up after first hip surgery, I was immediately relieved of most of the pain. A year ago June 2021, Dr. Ryan replaced the second hip. I can now get out of my truck with no one lifting me out. I haven’t needed a cane, crutch or walker in ages. I can actually walk up and down steps. It’s been a year and half come back. I agree with Doc do hips separately not both at the same time. The greatest part of my recovery is I can get in the floor and play with my grandson. Thanks Doc and your staff and the staff in the hospital.

Everyone is so nice and caring. He is very thorough, caring, concerning and listens to you. Would definitely recommend him and his staff!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Ryan and his team. They have went above and beyond throughout my recovery, ensuring I have a great comeback story. Coming into my first appointment, I was so nervous about the possibility of a hip scope. Dr. Ryan took the time to explain the procedure and what my recovery would be like. I am a nurse, but he still talked to me like I was a normal patient. He was so kind and appreciative to me for what nurses are doing throughout the pandemic. When I went back for my first post op appointment, he showed me photos of my hip that were taken during the procedure. He explained each picture and what was happening in each one. Dr. Ryan and his team have been there as soon as I call with a question or emergency. Even now, a little half way through recovery, I still get nervous about my hip. Kirby and Dr. Ryan have assured me that everything I’m feeling now is normal and will get better over time. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They have truly been the best people to work with. I cannot thank them enough. Such a great experience with wonderful people!

Dr. Ryan is awesome. My husband feels comfortable to finally habe his hip surgery after meeting him.

Dr Ryan did a great job working with my son. He took the time to explain the procedure to him and make him comfortable with it. Follow up has been outstanding as well. We highly recommend Dr. Ryan!

My daughter had hip surgery. The whole team was great with her and put her at ease. The surgery went great and they have made sure she knows exactly what to do post surgery!

When I initially went to Dr Ryan, I had been on and off crutches for several years. I had a core decompression on hips that went bad. I could barely walk enough to get to my car and couldn’t reach my feet. I’m an active duty police lieutenant and firearms instructor. It’s hard to teach on the range on crutches and barely able to walk 25 yards. My officers were begging to stop hurting myself for them and retire. Dr. Ryan advised what he thought was best and explained my options and was honest about which options he thought would work. Unlike other experiences he didn’t push for surgery, just suggested it as the best option and would do what I decided, His staff were very kind and caring. Always seemed to remember me. They were careful to explain to my wife and meet her needs to be my caregiver while I healed. The orthopedic surgery pre-op staff and nurses were kind and went out of their way to check on me both prior and after my surgery. Both hospital stays, at St. Thomas, I had the most amazing hospital nurses I’ve ever had during all my hospital stays in the past, I’ve had plenty. They not only took of me, but took care of the family that stayed with me, especially my wife. They were careful to check on her needs too. Physical therapy in the hospital, therapist were careful to explain what they were showing me and watched for my safety. Wish I would have known about Andrews Sports Medicine and St. Thomas Hospital years ago. I am still healing from second hip replacement. I can now reach my feet, put on my own socks and shoes, pick something off the floor, get in my truck and start looking for a time to ride my Harley. Haven’t even to just sit on it in three years. Because of Doc and all the others involved I can walk and serve the public for more years, I can teach on the range, I can play with my grandchildren. I’m going from can’t get off the bed to being able to get down the steps to enter my house. Still hurting some, still healing, learning to walk again. I know this is wordy, but I can’t thank everybody enough for their professionalism and caring. I can have some quality of life and career back.

Excellent service. Very well run office and professional. Surgeon was fantastic and very knowledgeable and personal. Always felt he was engaged in conversation and willing to answer any questions presented to him. Would recommend Dr. Ryan 10/10 times!

My visit with Dr Ryan and the staff at Andrews sports orthopedics has always been 5 stars. Everyone Is always so helpful and welcoming when your there for your visit. I’m not sure how anyone could ever have a better experience anywhere else. In my opinion in the my future if I require anything that requires there kind of service there will be no other place I will even try to go visit no matter where I may live at the time. They would most defiantly be worth traveling too if there service was needed if your up to it.

Doctor Ryan made sure I understood everything I would be going through in great detail. He made sure I understood each step. I am 16 and most doctor appointments the doctor does not talk to me directly, they talk to my parents but doctor Ryan made sure to make eye contact and made me feel more like an adult.

I want to thank Dr.Ryan and his staff on such an awesome job on my rotator cuff surgery. Everyone was very knowledgable on explanations of every part of the surgery from beginning to end. You’re the BEST and I highly recommend you to anyone that’s looking a GREAT orthopedic surgeon!!

Dr. Ryan and all the staff were awesome!! My son had hip surgery, and they were there for us every step of the way! I highly recommend Dr. Ryan!! He did an Excellent job on my sons surgery! We appreciate him, and all the staff at Andrews Sports Medicine!

Dr. Ryan and his team further exceeded the care I ever expected from day one. Their encouragement, caring attitude and professionalism put my anxiety and concerns to rest. They all work so well together and it made me feel as though they cared about what I was going through. Any question or concerns were handled with promptness and answered in great detail. I would highly recommend Dr. Ryan and his team every time! They are the best!!!

Dr. Michael K. Ryan exceeded all of my expectations as a surgeon from start to finish. He made me feel like I mattered, he included me and my family in the surgical plan of care. Even in the post op care, he continued to treat me as it was his first time seeing me. He make the three hour drive from Georgia worth it🥰💪🏽😊

Dr. Ryan and staff are amazing! I can’t thank them enough for the care they have shown from my very first appointment all the way through surgery and post surgery. I am so pleased with my results and couldn’t have asked for better treatment! Dr. Ryan takes time to answer all questions I have and is very sincere during each visit. His staff is the best and so easy to work with. I am beyond thankful and very blessed I found Dr. Ryan and would recommend him to anyone in need!
